Getterön is a breeding and roosting area for meadow and water birdsnear the town of Varberg in Sweden. Since 1995 they have a visitors center with a fantastic view and with a nice cafe. You will meet there a lot of ornithologists from everywhere.

The webcam is installed on a small island within the bay and is controlled by stuff within the scientific center. In breeding time you have a great view right into the nests of avocettes, gulls, oystercatchers and so on. In other times you have a look at water birds or roosting waderbirds or herons.
